wish upon a peony.

one of the many things we love about summer is that peonies are now in season!
we have more than an obsession with these big flamboyant flowers....
there is something about their large fluffy like petals that form their big thick bulbs... pastels shades, pale pink and off whites, they really do add such nostaligia to any setting.
perfect for table centre pieces, weddings or to brighten any room.... think we will be popping out to buy some now!
fact:
The peony is among the longest-used flowers in Eastern culture and is one of the smallest living creature national emblems in China. Along with the plum blossom, it is a traditional floral symbol of China, where the Paeonia suffruticosa is called 牡丹 (mǔdān). It is also known as 富贵花 (fùguìhuā) "flower of riches and honour" or 花王 (huawang) "king of the flowers", and is used symbolically in Chinese art. via
